Becoming the Woman You Were Meant to Be

Becoming the Woman You Were Meant to Be

I think that part of what makes being single so frustrating is how little control you have. Even though plenty of us have tried, you can’t make someone like you, or force a relationship to workout.

The only thing you can control is yourself!

If you’ve been single for any length of time I’m sure you’re sick of hearing, “Become the person that the person you’re looking for is looking for.”

I know, I know, this saying is super cliche and over simplifies the struggle of being single. However, there is so much truth here.

When you’re single you tend to have a bit more time on your hands and more control over how you use your time and spend your money.

The best thing that you can do as a single woman is become the woman you’ve always wanted to be!

This will mean something different to everyone!

If you’ve always wanted to be a CEO, use your time as a single to climb up up the corporate ladder and set yourself apart as a respected leader.

If you’ve always wanted to be a mom, use your time as a single to love on children and learn from other mothers.

If you’ve always wanted to work in Christian ministry, use this time as a single to grow in Christ and serve in as many different ways as you can.

All of us have different dreams and goals. No matter what you’re striving for, you’re time as a single will be critical to your success.

Don’t waste this time wallowing in self pity and discouragement because things aren’t turning out how you planned. Use the time that you have to become the best version of yourself! This will not only empower you as you see how much you can accomplish, but also help you become the woman God intended you to be.

Over the next couple of months we’ll be looking at some various areas of life that you can grow in during your single life. It’s time to stop waiting for Mr. Right to change your life and to start becoming the woman you were meant to be!
