Loveliness and Laughter

Loveliness and Laughter

Encouragement and community for Single Christian women as we navigate the life, friendships and dating.

Let’s face it, life can be tough. It rarely follows the plans we made and can often leave us feeling slightly off balance and lonely. I feel this can be especially true for those of us who find ourselves in an unplanned or prolonged season of singleness. I think we have two choices when life hands us the unexpected and possibly the unwanted. We can be bitter and fall into a season of stagnation and ungratefulness, or we can choose to look for the beauty, to look for the opportunities, and to see the signs of God working in ways we never could’ve dreamed.

Challenges never seem quite as scary if we face them with friends by our sides. I want all of you to know that you are not alone in this season. I want you to know that you are loved, that you are valued beyond your wildest imagination and that God has great plans for your life. But, I also want you to know that you're not the only one who still isn't sure if leggings qualify as business casual, who wishes she got asked out half as much as she orders take out and who still has no idea how to fold a fitted sheet!

We can work through this stage of life together, learning from each other and sharing. I definitely don’t have all the answers but I’m more than happy to walk through life with you all while we try and figure it out together.

I hope this community can become a place of encouragement and inspiration and maybe even a few laughs. A place for all of us twenty or thirty somethings who thought we’d be married driving kids to soccer practice in our minivans (well, maybe our sleek, midsize SUVs, because who imagines their dream life involving a minivan? Am I right?), but instead find ourselves feeling slightly lost and wondering what our next move should be.

Together we can experience the unique beauty, value and fun of this stage of life! Let’s share our stories, our dreams and our prayers for the future.  I hope that this community can become a place where faith and friendship grow and flourish and where loveliness and laughter are enjoyed among friends.
